Larik mikrofon ganda pada DS-2CD3123G2-I(S)U merekam suara dengan penyaringan derau yang lebih baik daripada satu mikrofon tunggal. Di ruang tunggu atau area kasir, percakapan masih terdengar ketika kamera satu mikrofon hanya menangkap dengung mesin pendingin. Sensor CMOS 1/2.7 inci merekam 1920 × 1080 dengan bukaan F1.6. Lensanya tetap pada pilihan 2,8, 4, atau 6 mm dengan dudukan M12 — pada 2,8 mm bidang pandangnya 112 derajat mendatar. Inframerah pintarnya menjangkau 40 meter pada 850 nm. Klasifikasi manusia dan kendaraan berbasis deep learning menekan alarm palsu, dan perlindungan perimeternya mencakup lintas garis, penyusupan, serta masuk dan keluar area. Jalur line in dan line out tersedia di samping mikrofon bawaan. Kartu sampai 512 GB, empat aliran video, bobot 600 gram, bodi IP67 dan IK10. Konsumsi dayanya 10 watt lewat PoE, tertinggi di antara model dome di daftar ini, jadi anggaran daya switch PoE perlu dihitung kalau beberapa unit dipasang pada satu switch.
