Dell PowerEdge T160 adalah server tower 3U berukuran ringkas dengan sasis di bawah 17 liter, berdimensi sekitar 41 × 13 × 33 cm (kedalaman termasuk bezel) dan berat maksimum 11,64 kg, sehingga muat di atas meja, rak, gudang, maupun ruang kantor ritel. Bagian depannya dilengkapi filter bezel yang menahan debu dan minyak agar aliran udara ke komponen utama tetap lancar, dengan suara kerja yang ramah untuk lingkungan kantor. Rangkanya sebagian memakai baja daur ulang dan permukaan luarnya berupa baja berlapis tanpa cat kimia, sehingga tampilannya berbeda dari baja yang dicat biasa. Konfigurasi ini memakai satu prosesor Intel Xeon 6315P dengan 4 core dan 4 thread, frekuensi dasar 2,80 GHz hingga 4,70 GHz, serta cache 12 MB. Memori terpasang 16 GB DDR5 dari empat slot DIMM yang dapat diperluas hingga 128 GB, dengan kecepatan hingga 4400 MT/s. Server hanya menerima UDIMM DDR5 ECC unbuffered. Penyimpanan bawaan berupa SSD SATA 2,5 inci 4 TB, dengan ruang depan untuk hingga tiga drive 3,5 inci ditambah dua drive 2,5 inci SAS/SATA dan kapasitas maksimum 63,36 TB. Daya dipasok satu unit PSU 300 W Bronze. Perlu dicatat, prosesor ini tidak mendukung Hyper-Threading, server hanya memuat satu prosesor, dan tidak tersedia opsi kartu grafis (GPU). Untuk jaringan tersedia dua port 1 GbE bawaan dan satu port Ethernet khusus iDRAC.
